Robert A. Puffer, 65, of Addison, passed away unexpectedly Monday (February 13, 2012) at his home.
Born in Hartsville, April 26, 1946, the son of Isaac Monroe and Mildred Stephens Puffer, he had resided in Canisteo for several years and was a graduate of Canisteo Central School. Bob served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp., during the Viet Nam Conflict.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Edith Puffer and his brother, Gerald Puffer.
He is survived by his daughters, Maxine (Mark) Glazer of Maryland and Angel (Keith) Hoffman of Hornell, step-children; Nyoka Buchholz of California and Roy Baker, stationed in Afghanistan, his brothers, Marion (Helen) Puffer of Addison, Monroe (Joanne) Puffer of Hornell and James (Lois) Puffer of Corning, 6 grand and step grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special friend, John Michael Herbert.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St, Canisteo on Friday from 6-8 PM where funeral services will follow calling hours at 8 PM. Rev. Jerry Springston will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
