Robert "Bob" K Merrills,68, of 51Green Acres Trailer Ct, passedaway Thursday (August 3, 2006)at Robert Packer Hospital.
Born in Bath, August 1, 1938, the sonof Kenneth and Doris Myers Merrills, hehad resided in the Avoca area all his life. Bob had been employed as a truckdriver for A.L. Blades retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Avoca LegionChapter #50 and member of the American War Dads.
He was predeceased by his wife Penny Merrills on May 28, 2003.
He is survived by his sonMichael Merrills of Wayland, a daughter Sandra Merrills Scott (Jim), a sisterShelby Harris of Avoca, a brother Doug Sullivan of Wayland, 2 grandsons RobbieMerrills, and Matt Scott, and his companion Diane "De" Brooks of Arkport 1niece and 1 nephew.
The family will be present 5-8pm Monday, toreceive friends at the Bender-Brown & PowersFuneral Home,
354 Canisteo St., Hornell.A private graveside service will be at the Scottsburg Cemetery.
