Robert E. McDaniels, 86, of 61 Adsit St., passed away Friday (September 24, 2010) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, January 21, 1924, the son of Harold J. and Lela M .Curry McDaniels, he had resided in Hornell nearly all his life with the exception of time spent in California from 1964 to 1972. Bob will be remember for being an avid life long "Mets" Fan. Bob had been employed for several years at Corning Glass. After his retirement, he worked for "SCAP" in Hornell for 13 years.
In June 1943, he married the former June Bayne, who predeceased him on August 23, 2010
He is survived by two daughters, Sue Ann (Glenn) Hann of Hornell, and Deborah (Michael) Wheeler of Almond, two sons, Robert (Paulette) McDaniels of Rochester and Thomas (Theresa) McDaniels of California, one sister, Carolyn (Jack) Croston of North Carolina, 12 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
