Robert H. Lewis, 87 of State Route 961F, entered into Glory Thursday (Dec. 17, 2020) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville from complications of the Covid-19 Virus.
Born in North Hornell, April 7, 1933, the son of Mervin and Luella Lockwood Lewis, he had resided his entire life in the Arkport – Almond area.
Bob was a graduate of Alfred Almond Central School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his Masters degree from SUNY Brockport. Bob was a teacher and administrator at Canaseraga Central School for 37 years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church, a Deacon of the Church as well as a Sunday School Teacher.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his wife Bonny Lewis and their infant son Robert Jason Lewis who died at birth, and his brother; George Lewis.
Surviving are his daughter; Sherry (Christopher) Peterson of Montana, his sons; David (Nancy) Lewis of Arkport, Kevin (Kathy) Lewis of Arkport and James (Stacy) Foster of Hornell, his brothers; Donald (Ann) Lewis of Endicott and Jon (Christine) Lewis of Henrietta, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the family will be observing a private funeral service with Pastor Craig Brittingham officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Almond. A public Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2021 at a time and place to be announced.
