Robert W. Kenyon

May 18, 1939 — April 6, 2024

The family of Robert William Kenyon is sad to announce he unexpectedly passed away on April 6th, 2024.
“Bob” was born to Isabelle and Clayton Kenyon Sr. (both deceased) on May 18th, 1939. He had two siblings, Clayton Kenyon Jr. (deceased) and Rose Eveland (James) who survives him.
Upon graduating from Canaseraga Central School in 1957, Bob joined the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Chevelston, North Hampshire, England, he met his future wife Ruth Slyvia Anderson (deceased). They had two children who survive him, Tracy Scott (Raymond) and Barry Kenyon (Sharon). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Shavonne Scott, Benjamin Kenyon (Amber), Geoffrey Kenyon (Janette), two great grandchildren Evelynn and Isabelle Kenyon, two brothers-in-law, Tony (Tina) Anderson and Conrad (Gillian) Anderson, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. Bob worked for many years for Foster Wheeler Corporation in Dansville N.Y. and then at Alfred State College until he retired. In 1964 he joined The Canaseraga Volunteer Fire Dept. and was proud to serve for 60 years.
He enjoyed many things in his life, such as football (American and British), watching and feeding the birds, listening to music, watching his favorite TV shows, but mostly spending time with family and friends.
He had a way of connecting with others and easily made friends. He was kind, caring, had a great sense of humor and always tried to look on the “Bright side” no matter what. As he would often say; “that’s just the way life goes.” Bob knew how much he was loved and appreciated by the people who were a part of his life past and present. He was truly blessed to have so many who cared about him.
A small grave side service will be held in July with family and his relatives.
They appreciate all prayers and good thoughts and only request donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association and the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor.
