Robert E. Dodge, 60, formerly of Hornell, passed away Sunday (May 20, 2007) at his home following a longillness.
Born in Wellsville, January 2, 1947,the son of Blakeslee and Carrie Biel Jones, he had resided in Sacramento, CA. the past 2 1/2years. He wasemployed as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart in Sacramento.He was formerly a member of the Moose Lodge, the IOOF Lodge and theHornell Association. Bob will belovingly and sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents and one grandson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mellissa(Weitzel) Dodge of Sacramento, his sons, Troy Dodgeand Jeremy Jones of Sacramento, Blakeslee Dodge of Florida, Rory Dodge, Robert(Jennifer) Dodge Jr., and his daughter,Maureen Hunt, all of Oregon, 7 grandchildren, his beloved mother-in-law,Cecelia Wray of Sacramento, his sisters, Edward and Susan (Biel)Skelley of Georgia, Robert and Kathy (Jones)Greenfield of Hornell, Joe and Rosemary (Jones) Cranmerof North Carolina, Wes and Priscilla (Jones) Cussonof Hornell, his brothers, Blakeslee "Butch" Jones Jr,and Janice of California, James Jones of Hornell, John Jones and Cindy ofHornell, his aunts, Gerald and Anna Mullen of Hornell, Homer and Alice Jones ofDansville, several nieces & nephews.
The family will be presentto receive friends on Thursday (May 30, 2007) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM atthe Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell wherefuneral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Peggy Knophofficiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
