Robert Clark, age 71 of West Street, passed away peacefully on Friday (July 11, 2025) surrounded by his wife, children and other family members, at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Rochester, NY on August 22, 1953, the son of Robert D. Clark and Gloria J. Greene Clark. He had worked for the foundry in Geneva, M&K, Bombardier, Siemens, TTA, White Knight Construction, KBH Construction, retiring from Corning Inc., and was the famous bartender at Lucy’s earning the name “Clarky” while working there.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, shooting guns, card games, and riding motorcycles. He will be most remembered for being a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Family was everything to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, his infant twin brother Rob, his sisters Barbara Dean, and Jane Dodge.
His is survived by his loving wife Dawn Norton Clark, whom he married on July 20, 1996, his son Aaron Clark of Hornell, 2 daughters Colleen Eason of Hornell, Taylor Clark of Canisteo, his 3 sisters Carol Monaghan of Hornell, Rosalie Teller of Hornell, and Susan Green of Hornell, his grandchildren Nicholas, Brittany, Chelsea, Nevaeh, Owen, and Mariah, 2 great grandchildren Trevon, and Zaevion, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will be present on Saturday (July 19, 2025) from 11am-2pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where a Funeral Service will take place at 2:00pm with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
