Robert F. Andrews, 73, of 97 Greenwood Street, passed away Thursday (January 11, 2018) at Robert Packer Hospital, in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Born in Hornell, February 2, 1944, the son of George and Dorothy (Rahmlow) Andrews, he was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School "Class of 1962", and had also attended St. Lawrence University. For 22 years he worked in sales and was President of North Main Lumber in Hornell, and for 10 years he worked for Data Control Technologies in Hornell. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell. Bob was an avid photographer, and a model airplane enthusiast.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Marsha Crandall Andrews on January 23, 2016, who he married on August 22, 1964.
He is survived by his daughter Beverly (Kevin) Croston of Corning, his son Mark Andrews of Rochester, his grandson Gabriel Croston of Corning, his brothers George (Marilyn) Andrews Jr of Hornell, William (Nancy) Andrews of North Carolina, several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 12-12:30pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where a family sharing time will be held at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Alfred Rural Cemetery.
