Rickey A. Ledbetter, 48, of State Rt. 36, passed away Tuesday (February 9, 2010) at home.
Born in Afton, OK, March 25, 1961, the son of R.J. and Betty Smith Ledbetter, he had resided in the Hornell area since 1978. Rickey was employed as a tree farmer for Yule Tree Farms of Hornell. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, working and most of all his family.
He was predeceased by his father as well as one son, Nathan Ledbetter.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl Lunsford Ledbetter, six sons, Rickey (Karen Thayer) of Almond, J.D. (Joel) Waters of Painted Post, Timothy Ledbetter of Hornell, R.J. Ledbetter of Hornell, Mark Ledbetter of Wayland and Dustin Ledbetter of Arkport, one daughter, Emily Ledbetter of Arkport, one brother Bob (Lena) Ledbetter of OK, one sister, Nora Tuttle of OK, as well as six grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11AM until 1PM on Sunday (February 14, 2010) at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St. Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 1Pm at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Maynard officiating.
