Richard V. Clark

Richard V. Clark, 66 a resident of Walnut Street in Canisteo, passed away Sunday (April 5, 2026) at his home following a long illness.

Born in Hornell, April 30, 1959, he was the son of William and Anna Louise Cowell Clark. Rick was a graduate of Hornell High School and had worked for several years growing and harvesting potatoes for the Mahaney Farm in Arkport.

Rick was well known in the Hornell area and will be remembered for his genuine kindness and willingness to help anyone.

He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Betty Flint,

his sisters, Onlee Clark, Connie Clark Cobin, and Anna Clark, his brothers, Thomas, William, and James Clark.

Surviving are his sisters, Beverly Olin of Hornell, Dorothy Embrey of Texas, Deborah (David) Butler of Hornell, Patty (Vernon) Hoyt of Kentucky, Norma (Ben) Losey of Whitesville, and his brothers, Larry and Kenny Clark both of Ohio, and John Clark of Alfred. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, 3 grandchildren, and step-children.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday (April 11, 2026) from 11AM until 1 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
