 Richard H. Peck, 85,formerly of
 
 
 Grand Street,passed away Thursday (June 28, 2007) at the Hornell Gardens.
 
 
 
 
 Born in Hornell, December 1, 1921, the son of Norris K.andJosephine Clark Peck, he had resided in Hornellall his life. He was a graduate of Hornell High School, and hadserved 6 years in the United States Navy. He was stationed in the Pacific as amember of a 3 man bomber squad. Dick wasproud that he was a awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross while serving in theUS Navy. He retired as a Captain fromthe Hornell Fire Department following 25 year service
 
 
 
 
 On February6, 1943, he married the former Beverly Woolever,who survives.
 
 
 
 
 He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, June McWhirter, one brother, Raymond Peck and his granddaughter, Shari Peck.
 
 
 
 
 He is survived by his wife, Beverly, two daughters: Robin (John) Bedson of Livonia , Nancy Daniels of Hornell, two sons: Richard (Susan) Peck of Wellsvilleand Donald Peck of Rochester, one sisters: June McWhirterof Niagara Falls, NY, Jeanne Donahey of Orange, TX.
 
 
 
 
 The family will be present, at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
