Richard C. Kloss, 75, a resident of the Hornell Gardens, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (September 21, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Sharon, PA, June 7, 1941, the son of Frank and Pauline (McAllister) Kloss, he had moved to Hornell in 1997. Richard was retired from Sharon Steel, after 29 years. After moving to Hornell, he worked for the Big Elms, Friendly's, Ponderosa, and Family Dollar. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Parish, and a communicant of St Ann Church of Hornell, and was a faithful blood donor, because of his rare blood type.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert Kloss, and 3 sisters Bonnie Swogger, Ruth Keck Taylor, and Sharon Longwell.
He is survived by his wife Ann Cole Kloss whom he married on May 25, 1967, his brother John Kloss of Sharon, PA, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be on Friday (October 7, 2016) at 1:00pm at the Rural Cemetery in Hornell, with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
