Richard D. Dyring

Richard D. Dyring, 87 a resident of Bennett Parkway, passed away Sunday (Oct. 20, 2024) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.
Born in Brooten, Minnesota June 24, 1937, he was the son of John E. and Margaret Frantz Dyring. Dick has resided in this area since 1952. He and his father operated the Towne Talk Bakery in Hornell, prior to moving the business to Canisteo. Dick operated the Bakery until his retirement in 2007.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Carol Taft.
Surviving are his wife, Nathelia Dennis Dyring to whom he was married on January 24, 1959, his daughter, Robin (Steven) Stone of Florida, his son, Richard (Karla) Dyring Jr. of Illinois, his sisters, Patricia Bates of Hornell and Shelby Cunningham of California, his brother Penrose (Karen) Dyring of Hornell, Grandchildren Allison (Dave) Shadduck, Elizabeth (Drew) Hickox, Christopher Dyring as well as 6 adopted grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren Logan Shadduck, Remington and Colton Hickox, several nieces, nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday October 24, 2024, from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell where funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Lenny Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
