Richard Davison 83 of Salt Rising Rd passed away peacefullySaturday at Jones Memorial Hospitalsurrounded by his family.



Born in Hornell, February 11, 1923 the son of Cash and Edith ThomasDavison, he had lived in the Bolivar area since 1944. He had served in the USNavy during World War II, and on March 24, 1946 he married EmogeneClark Davison who survives. He was a mechanic and later service manager forFerris-Forbes Ford Garage in Bolivar, from 1946-1982, and in 1982 bought thebusiness and ran the business until 1985, and later ran the garage at his homeuntil 1990. Dick was a lifetime member of the Bolivar Fire Dept. He enjoyedhunting, cutting firewood, stock cars and working on cars, but will be mostremembered for being a true family man to his large family including those hewould just help out of the kindness of his heart.

He was predeceased by his son Dale Davison, his grandsonChip Mitchell, son in law Dan Barkley, and two brothers Bob and Bud Davison.

He is survived by his wife EmogenDavison, 6 daughters Linda Barkley of Richburg, Paula (Elmer) Mitchell of WestAlmond, Marcia (Jeff) Robinson of Richburg, Brenda (Terry) Witter of Bolivar,Donna (Jack) Emrick of Scio, Sheila Davison (Gary Malecki) of Scio 3 son Richard (June) Davison Jr , Dan (Char) Davison, and Ralph (Connie) Best all ofBolivar, daughter in law Deanna Davison of Bolivar, 33 grandchildren, 39 greatgrandchildren, sister Caroly (Mervin) Beard of LittleYork, Eleanor Gosper of West Almond, Noreen Hall of Hornell, and BeverlyTrimble of Almond, and several nieces, nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the Brown &Powers Funeral Home of Angelica. Burial will be at the Bolivar Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Those wishing to remember Dick are asked to consider acontribution to the Bolivar Fire, or Ambulance Dept of the Richburg AmbulanceDept.
