R Yvonne HerrNeckar, 74, of
12 Cottage Ave, passed away unexpectedlySunday (May 27, 2007)at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, May 2, 1933, the daughter of Bruce D and VRuth Ebert Martz Sr, she had graduated from Hornell High School, and was alifelong area resident. Yvonne had worked for Tuttle and Rockwell, had attendedthe Grace Baptist Church of Dansville, and was a member of the Ivanhoe Chapter#106 OES. Yvonne had been an AA member for 23 years, where she had been veryactive, sponsoring many members and traveling to many conventions. She was abaseball fan especially the Toronto BlueJays, and also enjoyed watching theBuffalo Bills. She also enjoyed walking her dog, gardening, but mostly sheenjoyed her family and many grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald HerrNeckar in2006.
She is survived by 3 daughters Cynthia Cron of Howard,Rebecca (Brian) Ketchum of Hammondsport, and Debra (Rick Mess) Cotter ofCanisteo, a son PJ (Katie) HerrNeckar of Hornell a brother Bruce D Martz Jr ofKY, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren her sister in law Rita (Fr. Mykola)Krywonos of Utica, and step mother in law June HerrNeckar of Florida.
The family will be present 2-4pm Friday, atthe Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeralservices will be at the conclusion of callings hours at 4:00 PM, with the Rev. Drew Corbett officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
