Phillip L. Woodworth Sr., 74, of

148 Terry St, passed away unexpectedlyMonday (December 10,2007) at St. James Hospital.



Born in Hartsville, September 22, 1933, the sonof Norman and Daisy Stoner Woodworth, he had resided in Hornell since1956. He had been employed for the former Foster Wheeler Corporation inDansville prior to his retirement in 1995.Since retirement, he was employed for 7 years for Silk Road Transportand at the time of his death, on the maintenance staff at the Hornell Econo-Lodge. Philhad served his country as a member of the United States Army during the KoreanConflict.



He was predeceased by his parents, his son Mark Woodworth in1959, and his sister Sylvia Wilson.



He is survived by his wife, Joanne Morey Woodworth whom hemarried in 1956, his daughter, Tammi Woodworth of Hornell, 2 sons, Phillip Woodworth Jr. of Hornell and Jeffrey (Kim) Woodworth Sr.of Bath, 3 Sisters, Patricia (Richard)Foster of Hartsville, Carol (Harold) Steffey ofHartsville and Donna Cook of Dundee, 3 brothers, Norman (Alice) Woodworth ofHartsville, Paul (Kathy) Woodworth of Hornell and Raymond (Joanie)Woodworth of Canisteo, 2 grandchildren, Mark (Andrea) Woodworth of Hornell andJeffrey Woodworth Jr. of Canisteo, 2great grandchildren, Paige and Nathan Wise, and his two "special babies"Princess and Bichon.

The family will be presentto receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM, Rev. Donald Maynardofficiating. Burial with Military Honorswill be in Bath National Cemetery.
