Peter C. Rockwood, 44, of 16 Shari Lane, formerly of Angelica, passed away peacefully Sunday (October 4, 2015) at Olean General Hospital.
Born in Cuba, NY, April 13, 1971, the son of Rose & William Thomas and Wolfgang & Kathy Rockwood, he was a graduate of Angelica Central School "Class of 1989". He was most recently employed at Swann's Roofing in Angelica. Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He was so very appreciative of the support and encouragement he got on Facebook, which included numerous class mates and friends. This network of friends along with his family helped keep his spirits up during his illness. Peter was an organ donor, and would be so glad he had helped so many people. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend to many.
He was predeceased by his son Peter Christopher Rockwood.
He is survived by his parents Rose & William Thomas of Angelica, and Wolfgang & Kathy Rockwood of Angelica, 2 daughters Felicia Noniewicz, Kaitlyn Thompson, 3 sons Cody Caho, Ramsey Rockwood, and Riley Rockwood, a grandson Greyson, his sisters Stephanie (Mark) Dowd of Belfast, Danae (Kirk) Kozlowski of NC, his nephew Trent Dowd, his loving companion Dawn Morgan and her children Ashley and Johnny, several step brothers and sisters.
The family will be present 1-2PM Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue in Angelica, where funeral services will be held on Friday, at 2:00 PM, with Father Rick Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
