Pennywas born on October 13,1964. She faced her illness with the same strength, courage andspirit that she applied to every venture of her life. She is known for livingevery moment in life; both personal and professional with passion and humor.
Pennywas a graduate of the Angelica Central Schoolclass of 1982. She attended Bryant and Stratton for Fashion MerchandisingManagement. Ms. Cavanaugh was an employee of the Adult Educational Opportunity Center.Ms. Cavanaugh was the owner and CEO of Image Writer Marketing & PublicRelations agency. Penny Cavanaugh was a20 year veteran of the marketing and public relations field.
Pennywas dedicated to improving the life of Allegany Countyresidents through the application of her talents. As alifelong resident of Allegany County, she has served onmany advisory boards including Allegany Community Development Services, Inc.,Community Action Angels, Rushford Lake Conservation Club and the GreaterAllegany County Chamber of Commerce.
Shewas predeceased by her mother, Nancy Lee Ross in 2006.
Sheis survived by her father, Alan (Judy) Hooker of N.C., two sons; Joe Hooker ofOlean and Devan Cavanaugh of Rushford, two daughters; Kelcie McDermott ofRushford and Angelica Cavanaugh of Rushford, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
