Pauline N. Brown, 87, a resident of the Wellsville Manor, passed away Tuesday (December 11, 2012) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wellsville, March 16, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Nora (Barber) Snyder. Pauline and her husband Ralph E. Brown raised their children in Rochester and retired to the Allegany County area, where they enjoyed many years of retirement. Pauline was retired from GM Rochester Products in Rochester. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville, the former Angelica Grange, and the former CCAC. Pauline enjoyed traveling, gardening, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit.
She was predeceased by her husband Ralph E. Brown on January 22, 2009, whom she married on March 1, 1944, also her daughter Norma E. Zimmerman, a sister Virginia Freeman, and 2 brothers Ernest and Walter Snyder.
She is survived by her daughter Amy Brown of Rochester, her son Michael (Laurie) Brown of Rochester, her sister Betty "Becky" Parker of Cuba, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (December 22, 2012) at 1:00pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville, where donations in Pauline's memory can be directed.
