Patrick K. Darnley, 50, of Catherine St., passed away Monday (January 30, 2012) following a short illness at home.



Born in Buffalo, June 22, 1961, the son of Hiram and Ruth (Riggs) Darnley, he had resided in Buffalo until moving to Hornell in 2008. Pat served in the US Army Reserves and had been employed as a Sr. Network Engineer for Ingram Micro in Williamsville. He loved working on computers and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.



He was predeceased by his parents, one son; Patrick Darnley, one sister; Lynda Martinez, two brothers; James and Richard Darnley.



He is survived by his wife; Tracy (Hadsell) Darnley whom he married on Sept. 13, 2008, two daughters; Megan and Leah Darnley both of Buffalo, one step-son; Joe (Heather) Hadsell of Hornell, one sister; Sarah (John) Collar of Cuba, three brothers; Ronald (Deborah) Darnley of Buffalo, William Darnley of Buffalo and David (Deanna) Darnley of Hamburg, four grandchildren; Gavin, Ryah, Julia and Payton.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1-3Pm and from 6-8Pm on Friday (February 3, 2012), at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11Am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
