Patricia A. Lathers, 69, formerly of 71 Church Street, passed away Friday (February 23, 2018) at the Hornell Gardens surrounded by her loving family.



Born in Hornell, December 29, 1948, the daughter of William and Irene Eicher Klos, she had resided in Hornell all her life. Pat was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of 1966, and had dedicated her life to the care of others; as an operating room technician at St. James Mercy Hospital, and as a nurses aide at the Hornell Gardens and later at the Steuben ARC. She was a member of Our Lady of The Valley Parish, and a communicant of the former St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Hornell. She was a member and past matron of the former Ivanhoe Chapter #160, Order of Eastern Star in Hornell. Pat enjoyed her flower garden, painting bird houses, bowling, golf, and bingo but her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.



She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers; William and Robert Klos.



She is survived by her daughters; Christel (Skip) Sylvester and Heather (Brian) Clifford both of Hornell, her son; Gerald "Jerry"(Casey) Lathers of Hornell, her grandchildren; Paige Dailey, Rebecca and Jake Clifford, Chelsea Sylvester, Jordan Sylvester, Emma Clifford and Aiden Lathers, nieces and nephews including Donna (Robert) Sturgeon of Missouri.

The family will be present on Tuesday (February 27, 2018) from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 6:30 with Pastor Cedric Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
