Patricia F. Fairchild, 89, of Almond, NY, passed away Monday (Sept. 21, 2026) at Noyes Hospital in Dansville, NY.

Born in Canandaigua, NY, April 6, 1937, she was the daughter of Wilson and Alice Woolston Fitch.

Following her graduation from high school and The Eastman School of Music, Patricia received her Bachelor's Degree from the Cortland State Teachers College. Coming to the Almond area in 1968, she was employed as an elementary school teacher at Alfred-Almond Central School, from 1968 until 1992, and had previously taught at the Holly Central School District. She was a member of the former Alfred United Methodist Church and recently attended the Calvary Chapel in Almond, NY.

She had a lifelong love of music, playing the organ at Church for many years, singing at Church, high school, and college, playing the piano and trumpet, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Pat looked forward to getting together with their friends, here and in Arizona, as well as the retired teachers.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Katherine Townsend, and 2 brothers, Wilson and George Fitch.

Surviving are her husband Glenn Fairchild, of Almond, her sons, G. Andrew (Darlene) Fairchild, of Ohio, and Gregory (Mary) Fairchild, of Almond, 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Hannah) Fairchild, Kelsey Fairchild, Heather (Dave) Dow, and Christopher (Carley) Fairchild, and 5 great grandchildren, Joseph, Rose, Eleanor, and Katherine Fairchild and Colin Dow.

The family will receive friends at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, in Hornell, NY, on Friday, October 9th, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Calvary Chapel Church, in Almond, NY, on October 10th, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Almond, NY.
