Otto M. "Pete" House Jr. 63, of 44 East VanScoter Street, longtime Canisteo resident, passed away Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Richmond, VA, April 6, 1952, the son of Otto and Josie Singsing House Sr., he had resided in the Canisteo area since 1964. Pete was employed by the County of Steuben as a grounds keeper at Kanakadea Park.
He was predeceased by his parents and his grandson, Otto M. House IV in 2006.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (William) Stewart of Hornell, and his son, Otto M. (Jessica) House III of Hornell, his longtime friend and companion, Dona Mulhair of Canisteo, eight grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo on Saturday from 11 AM until noon at which time a Funeral services will be held with Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
