Oliver N. Geer Sr. 85, of 247 Merrill Lane, passed away Saturday (November 7, 2009) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Rochester, January 3, 1924, the son of George A. and Edna Steffen Geer, he had resided in Rochester where he was employed for Kodak. He had served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. He had resided in Hornell the past 20 years.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Rachael.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri Crosson Geer of Hornell, daughters, Carol, Kathy, Nora and Dawn, Sons, Allen, Oliver Jr., George, Melvin and Lewis, his former wife, Shirley Geer of Hornell, several grand and great grand children.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10am-12noon Friday at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Bath National Cemetery.
