5331 Purdy Creek Road, passed awayThursday (October 23, 2008)her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Hartsville, June 12, 1929, a daughter of Walter D. and Mildred Rowe Amidon, she had resided in the Hartsville area all herlife. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1948, she hadbeen employed at the former Sears Store in Hornell in the catalog center, was asecretary for Farmers Co-Op, was employed at the former June's Creamery and the HornellGardens. She was a member of the Ladies Home Bureau. She was a 50 year memberof the Hartsville Grange and the Hornellsville Grange, former member of theHartsville Senior Citizens and a memberof the Ladies Guild of the Hartsville Community Church.On July 4, 1953,she married Roland Robinson who survives.
She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Beverly and abrother, Ward Amidon.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Robinson, onedaughter: Linda Robinson of Hornell, oneson: Dennis (Deborah) Robinson ofCanisteo, one sister: Blanch Sawyer of Eldred, Pa.and one brother: StanleyAmidon of Hartsville. 3 grandchildren, Craigand Sheila Robinson, Colleen (Jerry)Briggs , 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
