Norma A Adams, 76, of
5120 McAndrews Rd, passed away Saturday (June 9, 2007) at her daughters home(Margo Jennings) in Belfast.
Born in Wellsville, March 27, 1931, the daughter of Ernest W and Anna MSchulteis Moore, she had been a lifelong area resident. On April 6, 1947 she married James J Adams,who predeceased her on October27, 1973. Norma had retired from Alfred State College in 1993 as aPublic Safety Dispatcher. She was a great story teller, and a wonderful helperto many. Norma had also taught Hunter Safety courses, and had belonged to a CBClub.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband James, andher sister Ernestine Winger.
She is survived by her daughters Margo (David) Jennings ofBelfast, Marcia (Beryl) Bird of Canaseraga , 6 grandchildren, Susanne (Michael)Smith, April (Benjamin) Din, Randy (Jennifer) Jennings, Darcy (Richard) Ralyea,Robyn Jennings, and Jennifer (Jeff) Flint, brother in law Donald Adams Sr and12 great grandchildren.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday, at the Bender - Brown &Powers Funeral Home,
354 CanisteoSt, Hornell, where Funeral/memorial services willbe held on Thursday, at 2:00 PM,with the Rev. Donald Maynardofficiating. Burial will be in Wellsville Woodlawn Cemetery.
