Nora M. Hosmer, 78, formerly of 9622 Stage Rd.,Arkport, passed away Monday (June 23, 2008) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Fremont, January 29, 1930, thedaughter of James and Mary Hagadorn Smith, shehad resided in Buffalofor about 10 years, and resided in the Town of South Dansville since 1965. She had been employed as a machine operatorfor the A.B. Cowles Company in Wayland and was a member of the HomeBureau.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Lawrence Hosmer Sr. in 2001, infant daughter in 1968, her brothers, Jamesand Clifford Smith and her sisters,Esther Wise and Bessie Jackson,
She is survived by 3 daughters, Irene (Tim) Martindale, andKathleen (Jeffrey ) Sutfin both of South Dansville, Patricia (Garry) Rocker of Dalton, her son, Lawrence (Pamela) Hosmer Jr., of Pike, her sister, Mary Ann Mulhollen of Canisteo, 2 brothers, Frank (Esther) Smith ofAlmond and Richard (Pam) Smith of Arkport, her grandchildren, Renee Martindale (William Roche) . Timothy (Gretschen)Martindale Jr., Gregory (Zinnia) Sutfin, Melinda(Jason) Fry, Gary (Yon) Rocker Jr., Melissa Rocker , Amy Browne, Heidi Hosmer, Holley Hosmer and Robert Hosmer, Great Grandchildren, Alicia Twichell,Cassandra Hilligus, Jordon Martindale, CheyenneMartindale, Kylee Martindale, Paige Panco, Grace Fry, Sari Rocker, Elani Rocker, Olivia Rocker, AbigaileRocker, Sierra Browne, and Nathaniel Ackerman, nieces and nephews.
The family will be presentto receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Robertson Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St,Hornell where funeral services will be heldon Thursday at 11 AM. Rev. PhilipKuhn will officiate. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery, Stephens Mills.
