Neva C. Hunt, 78, of 37 Brooklyn Street, passed away Friday (March 15, 2013) at Highland Healthcare in Wellsville.
Born in Angelica, October 21, 1934, the daughter of Everett and Grace (Benjamin) Hoffman, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Angelica Central School. She was retired from Acme Electric in Cuba, and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary #1504 of the Belfast Legion. She loved animals and also enjoyed cooking, and crocheting. Neva also liked going to Bingo, the casinos, and was especially lucky in winning on scratch off tickets. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Gertrude Storms, 2 brothers Everett and Ed Hoffman, and her first husband Robert Case in 1975.
She is survived by her husband John Hunt of Angelica whom she married on April 8, 1978, her two sons Barry (Cathy) Case of Hamlin, Mike (Del) Case of Scio, step son Jon (Kathy) Hunt of Warsaw, step daughter Tammie Hunt of Florida, grandchildren Jill (Darrell) Whitbeck, Julie Case, Kristen Case, Eric Case, Ashley Lindsey, Emma Hare, Katelyn Hunt, Greg Hare, Carlee Hunt and Connor Hare, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue Angelica, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
