Nelson L. Chamberlin, 89 of Maple Court, Town of Hornellsville, passed away Friday (Dec. 22, 2023) at Elderwood At Hornell.
Born in Great Bend, Pennsylvania, July 11, 1934, he was the son of Floyd and Mable Foote Chamberlin. He was a graduate of Great Bend High School “Class of 1952”,and had been employed as an Engineer for Conrail of Hornell.
Nelson proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1957-1959 and while serving Spec 4 Nelson L. Chamberlin was part of the 63rd Missile Battalion (Nike) in Wiesbaden Germany. Nelson was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Virginia A. Chamberlin in 2013.
Surviving are his sons, Charles (Michelle) Chamberlin of Fremont and Brian (Michele) Chamberlin of Hornell, his brothers, George Chamberlin of Florida and Richard (Jeanette) Chamberlin of Pennsylvania, 4 Grandchildren Ryan, Holley, William and Phillip, and 3 great grandchildren.
Honoring Nelson’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private interment service will be held for the family at Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport.
