Nell Noreen Townsend,67, of
28 Washington Street,passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (May 18, 2004) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Canisteo,April 7, 1937, the daughter of Ottoand Mary F. Davie House,she had resided in Hornell and Canisteo all her life. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1955,and for a short time, was employed at the former Tuttle and Rockwell Store inHornell. She was a member of theCanisteo Presbyterian Church.
Noreen will be remembered for her love of children and herfamily.
She is survived by herhusband, William H. Townsend, to whom she was married 47 years.

two sons: William J. Townsendand Donald Woughter, both of Hornell
