Nancy L. Ross Hooker 66 of 8152 Lakeshore Drive, passed away peacefully Monday (May 8, 2006) at her home.
Born in Angelica, April 7, 1940, the daughter of AlphonzoJoseph and Audrey Leah Hyde Ross, shehad a lifelong area resident. Nancyhad graduated from the Wilsonian High School and laterfrom Buffalo State with her Teaching degree. She hadworked for the Brentwood Camp, the Fillmore Knitting Mill and a Summer Craft School teacher at Angelica Central School. Nancy worked asa teacher for the Bayshore Elementary School in Florida from 1961-62 andstarted working at Angelica Central Schoolin 1963 where she retired in 1995. She also liked Gardening, Cleaning, enjoyinglife and having a "Good Time". Nancycherished every moment in Life and especially those moments with her family.

She was predeceased byher parents and her brother Jim Ross .
She is survived by her2 daughters Pam Burke of Grand Rapids, MI and Penny (Hooker)Cavanaugh ofAngelica, brother Don Ross of Martinville, NY, 5 grandchildren Joe Hooker,Kelcie McDermott, Brennan McNamara, Devan Cavanaugh, and Angelica Cavanaugh,sister in laws Shirley Ross and Louise Ross of Angelica, Nieces and NephewsBill Ross, Dana (Sue) Ross, Linda Ross Wydysh, Terri Ross, Sherri (Al)Presuitti, Kevin Ross and wife Joanne, and many great nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 2-4& 7-9 PMThursday, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
101West Ave., Angelica,where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
