Miland E. Gordon, 83, a resident of
101 East Steuben Street, who was reported missing on July 3, 2006, was discovered Sunday (August 20, 2006) in Bishopville.
Born in Almond, November 4, 1922, the son of Frank and Hattie Woolever Gordon, he had been employed on a cattle ranch in Boise , Idaho for several years.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters, Bessie Gordon and Isabelle Winters as well as two brothers, Edward and William Gordon.
He is survived by 4 sisters, Marilyn Gordon of Montour Falls, Thelma Winters of Alfred Station, Elsie (Howard) Jamison of Perry and Gladys Prouty of Hornell, 2 brothers, LaVerne Gordon of Hornell and LeRoy (Harriet) Gordon of Burns, several nieces and nephews including Donna (James) Spike of Hornell.
The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354 Canisteo St., Hornell where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 :00 PM. Rev. Dudley Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
