Michael D. Cone, 67, of Hornell, NY entered into rest surrounded by his family, at Strong Memorial Hospital on September 25, 2018 after a long battle with Heart Disease.
Michael was born on November 26, 1950 to Delbert and Mary Cone who passed away in 1994 and 2011. Michael graduated from Alfred Almond Central School in 1968. He met the love of his life Deborah Sheridan and they married on May 4, 1974. Together they raised three girls, Kelly Marie, Heather Ann, and Emily Jean. Michael worked various jobs including Birds Eye, the Hornell YMCA, Domenic's Bakery and Mc Donalds. He and his wife volunteered and held events for the relay for life and St Jude's Hospital. Mike enjoyed time with his family. He loved watching wrestling on tv, and having coffee with his best friend, Ray.
Michael was predeceased by both of his parents, Delbert and Mary, and his brother Harold.
Michael is survived by his wife Deborah of 44 years, daughters Kelly (Andy) Coddington, Heather (T.J.) Meehan, and Emily (Chris) Henshaw, Brothers Stanley (JoAnne) Cone, Rodney (Gloria) Cone, Timothy (Kim) Cone, Brother-in-law Don (Cheryl) Sheridan Jr, Sisters Marie Paduano, Rebecca (Byron) Muse, and Nancy (Dennis) Gardiner. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren (Dylan, Travis, Tyler, Nikolas, Haylie, Trey, Conner, and Jada), and two great-grandchildren (Abigail and Lily). Michael is also survived by several close friends and family and his beloved dogs.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 2nd 2018 from 5-7pm with the funeral immediately following at 7pm at Bender Brown and Powers Funeral Home on Canisteo St in Hornell.

A burial will take place at Hope cemetery in Hornell, NY on Friday, October 5th 2018 at 2:00pm.
