Michael V. Dieter, 64, of 3512 County Route 119, passed away Monday (April 2, 2018) at home.
Born in Hornell, NY, April 20, 1953, the son of Franklin and A. Louise (Snyder) Dieter, he was a lifelong area resident. He was retired from Corning Inc, a proud Republican, and a NRA member. Mike was also a member of the Hornell AMVETS, and the Canisteo Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and was a gifted musician and singer.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Jeanine A. (Burrous) Dieter on May 21, 2012.
He is survived by his 2 sons Shannon (Erin) Dieter of Hornell, Michael (Casey) Dieter of Canisteo, 2 sisters Christina (Randy) White of Horseheads, Brenda Porter-Freas of Virginia, 2 brothers Frank (Paula) Dieter of Hornell, David (Linda) Dieter of Canisteo, his grandchildren Tori Dieter, Lyndsie Dieter, Trent Dieter, Alicia Dieter, Morgan Dieter, as well as several nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (April 7, 2018) at the Adrian Baptist Church at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
