Michael L. DeVinney, 55, of
103 Paige Ave.,formerly of Hornell, passed away Tuesday (June 19, 2007) at the Erie County Medical Centerin Buffalo.
Born in Hornell, September 16, 1951, the sonof Harold and Dorothy Monaghan DeVinney, he was a graduate of Arkport Central School, and had attendedAlfred State College as a member of the business administrationdepartment. He graduated in 1982from the State University of New York at Albany with a bachelors degree in economics.He was employed as an advocate for the disabledby A.I.M. (Access to Independence & Mobility) since 1978 andwas currently the director of Independent Living of Niagara County.
He was predeceased by his father, Harold DeVinney.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Olds of Mt.Dora, Florida, 1sister, Jeannie (Mike) Lynch of Tavares, Florida,2 brothers, Steven (Denise) DeVinney of Canisteo,David DeVinney of Hornell, his life partner, KathleenPautler of Tonawanda,step-children Mary Jo and Jeremy (Lauren) , 2 nieces, 3 nephews 1 great nephew,one step grand daughter.
The family will be presentto receive friends at the RobertsonFuneral Home,
354 Canisteo St,Hornell on Saturday from1PM until 4 PM whereFuneral services will be held followingcalling hours . Burial will be in ArkportCemetery.
