Michael D. Cornelius, 58, of 5823 East Valley Road, passed away at his home on Sunday (May 8, 2011).
Born in Hornell, September 15, 1952, the son of Frederick Elwood and Esther Vanderhoef Cornelius, he had resided in the town of Alfred all his life. He had been employed as an office supervisor at Alfred University for 23 years, as well as one year at Alfred State College. Later he was employed as a transportation clerk at Crowley Foods in Arkport.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Karen Latten of Florida and his brothers, Daryl Cornelius and Bradley Cornelius both of Virginia, nieces & nephew.
