Michael J. Balducci, 57, of 1267 Maple Court, passed away Friday (August 3, 2012) at St. James Hospital.



Born in New London, CT, February 5, 1955, the son of Domenic and Lorraine (Hunt) Balducci, he had resided in Greenville SC until moving to Hornell 18 years ago. Michael was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and worked as an Electrical Engineer for Morrison Knudsen in Hornell. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicate of St. Ann's Church. Michael was also a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge, the Son's of Italy and the Hornell AMVETS. Michael owned and operated Pete's Automotive as well as Bathrick's Florist both in Hornell. He loved fishing, working, children, and will be remembered for his generosity.



In addition to his parents Michael is survived by his wife, Regina (Parshall) Balducci whom he married on Oct. 11, 1980, two sons; Michael (Jennifer Randall) Balducci and Jimmy (Marjorie) Ellis, both of Hornell, one brother; John (Catherine) Balducci of Preston CT, two sisters, Gina Villano of Uncasville CT and Susan Krusinski of New London CT, two grandchildren, Natalie and Zoe, several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends From 4Pm until 7Pm on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ann's Church on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in New London, CT.
