Merabah O. Burdick, loving wife,mother and nana, 86, of
120 EastMain St, passed away Saturday (May 10, 2008) at HighlandHealthcare.
Born in Lakewood, September 19, 1921, the daughter of Axseland Arvilla Stukey Olson, shehad resided in Angelica since 1974 coming from the Town of Alfred where she had been a resident most ofher life. On June 19, 1943she married Carrol T Burdick in Alfred whopredeceased her in March of 2007. Merabah graduatedfrom the last class of Alfred High School, and latergraduated from Rochester Business Institute at the Wellsville campus. She wasalso a loving foster parent for 15 years. In addition to playing the piano forseveral of the organizations she was involved, Merabahwill be remembered for her knitting, and crocheting skills. Nana also made anafghan for each of her great grandchildren to treasure.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and her brotherKenneth Olson.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn Miller of Angelica, grandchildrenJohn (Elizabeth) Gugino of Angelica, Michelle(Shayne) Ellsessor of Angelica, Valerie (Randy) Smithof Canaseraga10 great grandchildren, her brother Norman Olson of Gulf Breeze Florida,sisters in law Phyllis (Reid) Mattison ofWhitesville, Myrtle Olson of Lakeland Fla, and MarieOlson of Lakeland , Fla.
The family will be present 12-1pmFriday,May 23, 2008, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
101 West Ave., Angelica,where Funeral services will be heldat 1:00 PM, withthe Rev. Ken Chroniger officiating. Burial will be in Until The Day Dawn Cemetery.
