MAXINE ELOISE MAGEE BECKWITH

Maxine Beckwith, 77, of Angelica passed away Friday, August 16th at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester surrounded in love by her family.
Born in West Almond, March 13, 1936, she was the daughter of Clifford W. and Alice R. Thornton Magee. In 1950 she graduated 8th Grade from the Dalton School, in 1954 from Scio Central School, and in 1988 from Alfred State College. On May 12, 1956 she was married to the late Charles Robert "Bob" Beckwith. Her work career, beyond being a mom and homemaker, included the Angelica Broom Factory, Monroe Games, Houghton Nursing Home, ACCORD, and retiring as a Case Manager at ARA in Wellsville. She loved horse pulls, the "Angelica Fair", Red Lobster, birds, and doing crafts and puzzles. She loved her family above all else.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie E. Palmer and Marie E. Hodge, and a brother, Gary L. Magee, all of Belfast.
She is survived by her children, William (Penny) Beckwith of Lake View, NY, Jeni (Joe) DeMarco of Nunda, NY, Robin (Dan) Green of Brooksville, FL, Tracy Perkins (Shirley Bowen) of Rochester, NY, and Carla Beckwith (Kirby Kiser) of Nunda, NY. Also surviving are her 12 beloved grandchildren: Shelly, Sarah and Jess Beckwith; Chelsea, Andrea and Cheyenne DeMarco; Jacqueline, Daniel III, and Christopher Green; Stephanie Perkins; Atticus and Lily Kiser; and her 6 great grandchildren Gino, Raelea, Aidan, Jackson, Eloise and Emma, as well as her faithful companion "Buster." She is also survived by four sisters, Mary E. Swendson of Rushford, Marguerite A. Magee of Albion, Marilyn J. Brantley of Angelica, and Mavis France of Belfast, and a brother, Dale "Mike" Magee of New Bern, NC.

The family will be present 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday, August 20th, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Ave., Angelica NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00.
