Mary L. Belles

Mary L. Belles, 90, of Gorton Street, passed away peacefully Thursday (July 26, 2018) at Corning Guthrie Hospital.
Born in the Town Of Fremont, May 21, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Neola VanKuren Tuttle, she was a graduate of the Arkport Central School. Following graduation, she moved to Corning where she resided the remainder of her life. She was employed as a secretary for Corning Inc. for several years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the John P. Eaton American Legion Auxillary Unit #746, and the Corning Democratic Committee. Mary Lou enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, and gatherings with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister; Charlotte Fox and her brother; Robert Tuttle.
She is survived by two sisters; Barbara Torrence of North Carolina and Jeanne Westbrook of Alton, NY, one brother; Richard (Carolyn) Tuttle of Washington State, close friend and home assistant; Fee Fee Woodworth of Corning, Gloria Fay and daughter Faith Herring of Ohio, Lorraine Dill of Wayland, Pearline Bringham of Elmira, Candy Reed of Horseheads, longtime friends and neighbors in Haskinville, her nieces and nephews; Terry (Ron) McDaniel of Canisteo, Debra (Clay Johnson) Torrence of Bath, Rebecca (Doug) Bass of North Carolina, John (Sally) Tuttle, and Rick (Patti) Tuttle, both of Washington State, Richard Fox and many cousins.
