Mary A. Snyder, 76, of Summer St., passed away Saturday (July 10, 2010) at St. James Mercy Hospital.



Born in Almond, May 30, 1934, the daughter of Floyd and Sadie (Hudson) Barnes, she had resided in Hornell all of her life. Mary was employed in the Housekeeping Department of the former Bethesda Nursing Home and loved attending baseball and football games. She also loved going for car rides and especially spending time with her family.



She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband, Clair Snyder in 2005. one brother, Albert McCoy, four grandchildren, Brandon Snyder, Samuel Mark Juan Snyder, Tyrone Michael Snyder and Christopher Michael Snyder.



She is survived by five daughters, Roxanne Dais of Hornell, Rose (Wesley) Willis of Hornell, Edith Snyder of Bath, Debbie (Jason) Kepner of Hornell and Mary (Steve) Brewer of Canisteo, two sons, Ronnie (Penny Crane) of Addison and Clair Jr. (Phyllis) Snyder of Montoursville, PA, 16 grandchildren, Shawn, Christian, Jessica, Ronnie Jr., Shane, Ricky, Sara, Tiesha, Rebecca, Nicole, Kayla, Michael, Eric, Nathaniel, Sam and Mary, 11 great grandchildren, Shakeem, Austin, Tyquan, Lavonn, Shania, Marcus, Zanique, Dayvonte, Javon, Javonna and Cameron, daughter-in -law, Sharon Smith of Beaver Dams, Special cousins, Patricia and Don Towner of Creedmoor, NC., Sister-In-Law, Jean Ann McCoy of Arizona, niece, Marlene McCoy and nephews, Danny and Albert McCoy.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5PM until 8PM on Thursday (July 15, 2010), at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held on Friday (July 16, 2010) at the funeral home at 12PM. Burial will be in the Bath National Cemetery.
