Mary Ann "Madge" Ordway Rutski, 86, of
475 Cleveland Ave.,died peacefully Friday morning at 3:15 AM (August 25, 2006) at St.James Mercy Hospital where shehad been a patient the past 2 days..
Born in Hornell, August 8, 1920, the daughterof Hiriam and Frances Didas Ordway, she wasa life long NorthHornell resident.She was a graduate of Hornell High School and receivedher Bachelor's degree from Alfred University. Earlier, she was associated with her parentsin the operation of Ordway Florist in North Hornell,and later became proprietor in 1980, and operated the shop until lastyear. She served as Justice for the Townof Hornellsville for 15 years, She was a member for over 50 years and past regent ofthe Kanesteo Vallery Chapter of the DAR, a member of the Almond HistoricalSociety, Canisteo Historical Society, and served for over 40 years as historianfor the Town of Hornellsville and Villageof North Hornell. She was a past member of the Hornell BPW, Hornell RepublicanCommittee, the woman's Auxiliary of theNorth Hornell Fire Dept. and the New York State Magistrates Association.She was a member of Our Lady Of TheValley Parish in Hornell.
She was married Sept. 4, 1943 in Hornell toWalter A. Rustki, who died in 1995.
She was alsopredeceased by her son, O. W. Rutski in 1944.
She is survived by one son: Walter O. (Cherlyn "Dunior") Rutski of North Hornell, Sister-in-law, GenevieveRutski of North Hornell, Special friends, Chris and Tiny Hess of Arkport.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday at the Robertson Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornellwhere funeral services will be held on Mondayat 11:30PM, Fr. Robert Kankaofficiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery,Hornell.
