Mary Ann Alexander, 78, of 199 East Avenue passed away Friday (November 30, 2018) at St James Hospital.
Born in Patterson, NJ, May 5, 1940, the daughter of Harry and June Sloate Roon, she had resided in Hornell area for several years.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Robert Alexander in 1997, her brother,
And two half sister; an infant at 9 months old and Gloria Vallimont.
She is survived by five daughters; Maria (Donald) Barnes of Florida, Donna (Robert) Talbot of Florida, Martje (Ned) Hurdis of Virginia, Melinda Sue Alexander-Hewitt (Michael) of South Carolina and Heather Nicole "Niki" Baker (Scott) of Hornell. five sons;Rory (Kathy) York of Florida, Alta (Rita) York of Florida, Marshall York of Virginia, Robert L. Alexander III (Jackie) of Indiana, and Aarron (Theresa) Alexander of Tennessee, one sister, Sharon Bush of Kanona. several grand and great grand children

The family will be present to receive friends, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Monday (Dec. 3, 2018) from 5 until 7 PM where funeral services will be held following calling hours at 7 PM. Mary Ann's son, Aarron Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
