Mary L. Kenyon, 78, formerly of Canaseraga went home to be with our Lord on Sunday (June 23, 2013) at St. James Mercy Hospital.



Born in North Hornell, August 12, 1934, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Townsend) Kennell, she had resided in the Arkport/Canaseraga area her entire life. Mary owned and operated Mary's Coffee Shop in Canaseraga and was a member of the Larger Parish Church. She was a lifelong member of the Canaseraga Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Canaseraga Auxiliary of the American Legion. Mary was involved with the Canaseraga Sports Booster Club and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and most of all her family.



In addition to her parents Mary was predeceased by one brother, Clarence Kennell Jr. and one sister, Jean Gribbin, Grandchild, Adam Kenyon.



She is survived by three sons, Stephen (Cathi) Kenyon of Canaseraga, Scott (Brenda) Kenyon of Canaseraga and Jody (Lisa) Kenyon of Brooksville Fl, two daughters, Lori (Boyd) McDaniel of Arkport and Michelle (Steven) Sleight of Canaseraga, one brother, Ronald (Denna) Kennell of Arkport, three sisters, Katherine (Harold) Lyke of Fl, Joan Kramer of Hornell and Patricia Ellis of Hornell, eleven grandchildren, Stephen Kenyon Jr., Shannon Kenyon, Daisy Gascon, Crystal Kenyon, Vincent McDaniel, Andrew McDaniel, Joshua McDaniel, Victoria McDaniel, Kiana Sleight, Noah Sleight, Corisa Kenyon, several loving great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (June 28, 2013) from 4-8pm, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10Am at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Jesse Flint officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
