Almond - MaryAbby Almeter Hurd passed away Wednesday ( Aug. 24,2005 ) in the presence of her husband,children and family.She is at rest after a long struggle with cancer.



Abbys Loved ones will remember her beautifullaugh that brought us both entertainment and comfort. Her major lifeaccomplishment is the children she raised and the family she loved.



For Abby, being a teacherbegan long before she made it her profession. Her enthusiasm for the businessof daily living was contagious. Abbys children and loved ones will benefit fromthe gifts she has given us throughout ours lives.



Abbys comfort is in knowingshe has laid the foundation for us to continue living well"



Though she left sooner thananyone would have chosen, she left nothing unfinished. She is free to watch usfrom afar knowing that she is with us.



Abby is survived by herhusband, Dean Hurd; son,Jacob Huyrd,and granddaughter,Alexandra



Hurd; daughters,Katie (Chris)Wightman,Becky Hurd, Emily Hurd and Jessie Hurd;father,Paul (Rita) Almeter;sisters,Elaine (Joe) Herdman and Carolyn(Mark)Brown;brother,Paul Almeter;and alarge extended family.

Abbys Mass of ChristianBurial was celebrated Friday (Aug.26,2005) at Sacred Heart Church in Angelica,withFather Dennis Mancuso as celebrant. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery,Almond.
