434 Monroe Ave,died Saturday (October 8,2005) at St. James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Canisteo, February 23, 1918, the daughter of Willieand Lottie Ross Davie, she was a life long resident of the Canisteo, Greenwood and Hornellarea.
Mary had been employed for the former Silk Mill in Canisteoand took care of the elderly in their homes.
She was predeceased bya Daughter: Noreen Townsend in 2004 and a Grandson,Lonnie Carney in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda Carney of Canisteo and Zelda Persley of Hornell.
7 Grandchildren: Dawn McAllister, Lorne Carney, Dennie Carney, Ashley Carney, William Townsend Jr., StevenHarrison and Tim Harrison . Six GreatGrandchildren several nieces nephews and cousins.
