Mary Jane Cornish, 85, formerly of
ArlingtonPlace and the BigCreek Rd, passed away Saturday (December 30, 2006) at Albermarle Hospital, Elizabeth City,NC.
Born in Rochester,N.Y., September 14, 1921, the daughter of Fredand Jane ( Jordan )Kreutter, she had resided in the Hornell area untilmoving to Elizabeth City, NC in 1999. She had been employed as a sewing machineoperator at the Marion Rohr Company for 15 years before her retirement in 1975.She was a member of the former Spencer United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as 2 sons, DavidCornish in 1965, Darwin Cornish in 1993 and her husband Paul Cornish in 1976.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda (Randy) Bowen of TX, Sheila VanKeuren of NC, Diane (John) Walsh of Hornell, Christina (Mike) Murphy of Elmira, 1 son Daniel Cornish ofCorning, 1 sister Luella Williamson of Kansas, and 1 brother James Kreutterof Minn, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren,several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 6-8PMFriday Jan. 5, 2007, at the Robertson FuneralHome, at their new location
354Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home. DeaconRobert McCormick will officiate. Burialwill be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
