Marvin L. Hurlburt,27, of
9 Main Street,passed away unexpectedly Saturday (February 25, 2006) at his home.
Born in Hornell, March 29, 1978, the sonof Hal and Barbara Crance Hurlburt Sr., hehad resided in Savona the past year. He was a graduate of Hornell High School and at the time of his deathwas employed in security at Polly-O Dairy in Campbell.Marvin enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his father Hal HurlburtSr. of the Philippines, his mother, Barbara Crance ofHornell, one daughter: Taytum Hurlburt ofSavona, three sisters: Louise (Theodore) Wood of Hornell Tracy Ames ofHornell and Tabitha Short ofWaterloo, one brother: Hal (Lesley) Hurlburt Jr. of Canaseraga, his Fiancee,Nicole VanSkiver of Savona and her family: her Mother and step-father, Johna& Darrin Decker of Savona, brother, Adam (Lindsay) VanSkiver of Campbell, 2sisters, Elizabeth VanSkiver of Gang Mills, and Micayla Decker of Gang Mills,her niece, Olivia Phenes of Gang Mills and her nephew, Ian Gleason of GangMills. Marvin is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Louise Hurlburt ofHornell, Maternal Grandmother, Leah Watson of Hornell as well as several niecesand nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM Thursday at the Brown& Powers Funeral Home,
6 Spruce St., Canisteo where funeral services will be heldfollowing calling hours at 4 :30 PM. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
