Martha M. Boone, 84, of 389 South Division Street, passed away Tuesday (December 6, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Hornell, December 6, 1932, the daughter of James and Margaret (Callahan) Ward, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School "Class of 1951". On July 4, 1958 she married Lewis C. Boone, who predeceased her on May 28, 2000. Martha was active in the Hornell Alumni Association, and up until March, she still worked for Loohn's Cleaners in North Hornell. Her grandkids were her main focus, attending all of their sporting events, and any other events they were involved in.
She was predeceased by her husband, her 4 sisters Frances Brown, Margaret Lafay, Katherine Hunt, and Mary Cuccinelli.
She is survived by her daughters Pamela (Bob) Chapman of Hornell, Kathleen Ives of Rochester, her sons Jeffrey Boone of Hornell, James Boone of Hornell, her brother Robert Ward of Canandaigua, her 5 grandchildren Nicholas Boone, Nathaniel (Martha) Chapman, Scott Ives, Justin Boone, Hannah Boone, and several nieces, and nephews.
A private family service will be held. Burial will be at the Hornell Rural Cemetery.
