427 Rose Ave., passed away Monday (May 4, 2009) at McAuleyManor following a short illness.
Born in New YorkCity, November27, 1916, the daughter of Otto and Caroline (Geise)Zschoche, she had resided in Hornellmost of her life. Martha was a member of the Former Spencer United Methodist Church and a currentmember of the Hornell United Methodist Church. Before herretirement she was employed as a secretary for the Robert A. Sweeney Agency.Martha loved knitting and will be remembered for her numerous knitted gifts.She loved crossword puzzles, traveling and most of all being agrandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husbandHarold in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters; Joan (Gordon) Fox ofHornell and Caroline (Jerry) Ernst of Honeoye Falls, two sons; John (Carol)Guild of Rochester and Robert (Cathy) Guild of Blairsville GA. 10 grandchildren; Susan Guild, Jennifer (Steve) Ranck, Leah (Eamon) McCormack,Colleen (John) Dolph, Beth (Benjamin) Hults, Sandra (Jamie) Eveland,Michael (Jessica) Guild, Christine (Michael) Rehtus,Lauren Ernst and Katherine Ernst, and also 9 great grandchildren.
